After leading the Koalas for the past 4 seasons, Travis Harris has passed reins over to Brendan Clarke and brought his beloved Blazers to the Super-League. The Blazers are no strangers to a lot of people, having played in numerous tournaments across Victoria over the years.
{SL MEDIA} What was your main focus coming into the draft?
{TH} My aim was to draft a well-balanced competitive side.
{SL MEDIA} And do you feel you achieved that?
{TH} Definitely yes, I feel like I have the deepest team in the comp. Which is important, because the comp is continually getting stronger.
{SL MEDIA} How do you feel your franchise will go this season?
{TH} Finals bound, it won’t be easy though. There are some very good teams on a Tuesday night in the East division.
{SL MEDIA} Your franchise is sporting a new look, tell us a little bit about that.
{TH} A brand new franchise needs a new look, but Dale and Taylor Teamwear have done an amazing job on this kit. love it.
{SL MEDIA} Which franchise has the best list? (aside from your own)
{TH} I like the Garfield Foxes and Koo Wee Rup Koala’s. There is veterans all over and some youth to balance them out.
{SL MEDIA} Who will win the MVP?
{TH} I’ve got to go with my guy Doel Jonnelly.
{SL MEDIA} Who will win the DPOY
{TH} Ambu Uliando. A versatile, multi positional player is so important from a defensive standpoint.
{SL MEDIA} Who will win the Steal of the Draft
{TH} Daniel Eagleton easily. Not even a question.
{SL MEDIA} If you could have one player from another team, who could it be?
{TH} Gavin Trapnell. Geez, I’m annoyed that he went a pick before mine in the draft.
